A saltwater fly fisherman's paradise
There are few fishing locations that not only rival the number of bonefish, but do so within an affordable price.

And Many More
AFF HOSTED TRIP’s to CXI will recommence when international travel resumes.
CXI is the largest coral atoll in the world. Known for its abundance of bonefish, it also hosts a myriad of other saltwater species. Giant Trevally, Trigger fish, Milkfish, Golden Trevally and Blue Fin Trevally, all roam the flats inside and outside the lagoon. Trigger fish are a particularly appealing target, and we believe Christmas Island is one of the best Trigger fish fisheries you can find.
Hosted by Mickey Finn from Aussie Fly Fisher, in collaboration with Ikari House Lodge, we hope you can join us for this amazing trip.
The trip offers seven days of fly fishing in which each day, the group is split into teams of four. Each boat of four anglers will head out with two guides and a boat operator. Depending on what species you want to focus on, the boats will drop each pair and their guide in different locations around the lagoon. You’ll be transported throughout the day to keep the fishing fresh. We recommend you spend at least one day chasing milkfish on the outside of the lagoon, and another day at the Korean Wreck. The wreck, a famous region on the outside of the lagoon, offers a change in scenery and, with fish entering the shallows from the deep reef edge, opportunities for a wide variety of fish.
August 26th– Arrive in Christmas Island at 6.35am. After clearing customs, we will be picked up by our Ikari House hosts. They will take us to the lodge.
Breakfast will be served, and then we will get straight into setting up gear and head out to the water for day one.
August 27th– September 1st – Breakfast is served early each day. We will then head out onto the water with our assigned guides around 7.30am-8am. Each boat has four anglers and two guides. The fishing boats will move the anglers around several points in the day according to what species you want to catch, along with the tides, and your guide’s recommendations.
September 2nd –Breakfast is served at 7am as per normal. We have plenty of time to relax, clean gear and pack bags.
Our flight departs CXI at 4.10pm.
We arrive in Nadi at 7.30pm and will be transferred to Fiji Gateway Hotel for the evening.
September 3rd – Return to your final destination according to your flight plans.
